Welcome to the Cycad Center

Located in Fallbrook just north of San Diego, Bruce & Suzi Ironmonger started growing cycads about 5 years ago. They started with a few cycas revolutas and then grew from there.

After a visit to Loran Whitelock, a well know cycad & palm grower and collector, they started collecting seriously and now have over 100 species. As their operation grew they imported cycads from South Africa and were very successful with reestablishing the plants with a less than 2% loss over 1000 plants that have been involved in importing. At the present they have about 20,000 cycads ranging from seedlings to large specimens.
